The hard part, spacing my time out well.
Week one plans:
-Meet with my class on Monday.
-Research more concrete ideas on Tuesday and Thursday (1 hour)
-Wheel throw: learning to center the clay on Wednesday and Friday (2 hours)
-Some time at the library this weekend looking at books guiding me and teaching my the basics (2 hours)
-Extra time recording my findings each day and researching some more techniques and tools used for centering clay (1 hour)
-Also need to meet up with my mentor at some point in the week and discuss how I'm going to start my project (30 minutes)
A total of about 8 hours, spending my first week hopefully learning to center.
Week two plans:
-Monday: Meet with class.
-Tuesday/Thursday: Find artists that might inspire some art designs. If I find some artists that I really enjoy, I'd like to research their history and see how they started up their career. It's really one of the more interesting things to read about each person's story. (2 hours)
-Wednesday/Friday: Hopefully having mastered centering, I'll try throwing a nice simple mug. And if not, then I'll continue working at centering my clay. (2 hours)
-Weekend: If I successfully made a mug, I will go and design it. Otherwise, it'd be nice to look at videos of other people throwing mugs and get a feel for how they do it. (1 hour)
- Spend time blogging my days and my successes (or not so much) and meeting with my mentor. (1 hour)
